Isn’t it easy to be like that with God? I am so concerned with what’s happening in the forefront of my life – the worries, the relationships, the “to do” list – that I don’t pay attention to God.

John Ortberg’s writing always gives me lots to think about. Here’s a snippet that has been going through my mind today -
“We can survive the loss of an extraordinary number of things, but no one can outlive hope. when it is gone, we are done. Therefore the capacity to stay focused on the presence and power of God in our lives becomes supremely important.”
That’s what I need – the capacity to stay focused on the presence and power of God in my life. I think that’s why the personal memorials that I wrote about in the last post are significant – they are visible, tangible reminders that God, though himself unseen, is ever present. But I need to pay attention.
Great post yet again, Judy
(and brilliant video)
“Stay focused on the presence and power of God in our lives”
Thanks Judy, I’ll try and join you in taking this thought throughout my day.
