I have some questions about Noah and the flood.  (I’m not too fussed about whether or not it was universal or whether the Bible account matches that of the Epic of Gilgamesh – though please check it out if that’s what floats your boat – or even how they coped with the smell in the Ark.)

Q 1

The Lord was sorry he had ever made them. It broke his heart.” (Genesis 6:6)

That’s such a turnaround from, “God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent is every way.” (Genesis 1:31)

Can they both be true?

Q 2

I read the words of promise about “never again” the day the media carried headlines about the extensive floods in both Australia and Brazil.  OK, so not the whole earth, but it’s the “whole earth” to those who live there – homes, livelihood, family, friends.

Does God keep his promises?
